'People are intimidated' - why 'juggernaut' Arsenal are the side to defeat.

There's little doubt why Arsenal have become many people's favorites to secure the Premier League this season.

Look at their outcomes against West Ham and Crystal Palace in contrast with those identical matches in the previous campaign.

The Gunners have beaten all of them this time around, but surrendered 10 points across those games as they faded in the title race previously.

Defensive Dominance

Arsenal's defensive strength is a crucial element why they are seeming ready to ultimately achieve their title target.

They stand first for unbreached games (6), goals allowed (3), attempts against (72), quality opportunities against (19) and anticipated concessions (5.3).

The center-back duo of Gabriel and William Saliba is potentially the strongest in the league, with Arsenal maintaining a clean sheet in six of their first nine games.

Set-Piece Expertise

Their danger from dead balls is widely recognized, but competing clubs still don't know how to neutralize the Gunners from these situations.

They have scored 11 times from set-pieces in the league, two more than any other side, with 69% of their goals coming from these situations.

"Arsenal can perform multiple roles now. The whole team has a daunting aura. People are just afraid of them and it is great to see."

Championship Credentials

What is particularly remarkable about Arsenal's beginning to the campaign is they have also encountered Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle United on the road and Manchester City at home - and are still ahead by four points at the top.

While they continue triumphing, their long-standing opponents aren't faring so well. This marks the premier instance at this point of the season since 1992 that none of Manchester City and United, Liverpool or Chelsea are in the Premier League top four.

The scrutiny was on head coach Mikel Arteta at the start, having spent around £250m on eight summer additions in quest of that coveted first title since 2004.

But the business has so far yielded results in style, with his side among the highest scorers in the league and boasting the most resilient defense, despite numerous injuries.

  • Clean sheets in three straight Premier League games
  • 385 minutes without conceding a goal
  • Only three goals in 12 games across various contests

Former players and experts have labeled Arteta's men as a "powerhouse, looking challenging to stop" with the whole club now functioning with conviction and determination.
